• Film Values : My favorite site because it always gives away the ending. Woohoo! Covers recent and old movies, rentals, TV movies and more. 

• Mr. Cranky : For those of us who love a wickedly on-target trashing. Of every movie. Suggestion courtesy of Doug Titus.

• CountingDown.com : A clock count down for upcoming movies and some of the hottest rumor and discussion boards with reliable information around. Especially for you Star Wars geeks.

• Screen It! : Meant as a responsible parent site, reviews movies and lists all violence, plot lines, language, etc. A great tip off for those who practice Sinbad's Rapid Eye Blink method for avoiding gore. 

• Berardinelli Sees Film : Covers every movie out with star ratings and a decent plot summary. Don't wait to see if the film interested Ebert & Roeper.

• Ain't It Cool News : Movie and entertainment news, plus hilarious reviews.

• Dark Horizons : One of the most popular sites for movie rumors, scathing plot reviews, gigantic spoilers. I'm already disappointed in the upcoming Star Trek movie. Sigh.

Geek Stuff

• Chicklit : Not books for chicks, books reviewed by chicks. My favorite part is the "Language Peeve du Jour" poll.

• Sarcastic 8 Ball : Just like the classic, only "Not!" 

• Ex-Philes Shipper Forum : For those of us who loveD the X-Files. Shipper-- One who has jumped ship; one who boycotts Season 8 and 9. Suggestion courtesy of Kathy Pautz, aka Pautzy.

• Buttafly : Check out her lessons for voice mail (sarcastic of course), Oracle of Starbucks, and Hysterical Liberal Magic Infinity Ball. Ask it a question, and it will tell you why you're an evil Republican!
• Amy Donaldson : A good childhood friend who has her impressive portfolio of murals and portraits online. She specializes in painting walls with a faux marble finish.
• Perry Palacio : Affectionately known as CheeseNet, this site is monitored by JellyMan (see right hand corner). Yes, I think that's stupid too. At any rate, there are a lot of pictures on there of all his friends, including me.
• Don't you just hate it when someone connects to your site for a long time... and then suddenly deletes the link? I do.

 Star Trek

• Standardized "Should I Stalk William Shatner" Test: If you're not sure that you're stalker material, or think you may know someone who is, this hilarious test will help you out. 

• Star Trek Continuum : The Big Momma of Trek sites. All the latest news, events, books, movies...

• Darmok Dictionary : My favorite episode of TNG, "Darmok," featured a race which only spoke in metaphor. I used the episode during the English class I taught (yes, I did) (the kids loved it). If you ever wondered what all that meant, this page has a lengthy explanation, although I don't always agree, for each metaphor used.

Shopping

• Artomat : Great new concept selling art through retired cigarette machines. Of course we don't have one, but you can submit ideas to them and join the ranks of artists. Come on, you know you're better than them.
• Hoypoloi Gallery : My favorite shop at Downtown Disneyworld. Not all the stuff is available online, unfortunately. Nevertheless, always something zen to be had here... 
• Americana Couture : Funky clothes, like all those regurgitated product labels from our youth, updated with hand-cut crystals. Cute, and adored by celebrities. 
• Despair.com : Don't you just despise all of those schmaltzy Successories designed to inspire you through unbearably optimistic sayings? You'll love Depressories! Here's a good one: "Cluelessness: There are no stupid questions, but there are a lot of inquisitive idiots."
• ABS style : The week after major awards, like Oscars, you might see the dresses in stores everywhere. This guy and his staff sketch all the good ones they see, spend all night drawing them out, and sell them on their site and finer stores for $150 to $300. Often, these dresses are better than the designer version.
• J. Peterman : The actual J. Peterman that everyone joked about on Seinfeld. Frankly, I love the kitchy drawings and descriptions. Makes me wish I could wear them all. But I can't. And neither can you.
• Priscilla of Boston : Innovative concept -- like designing your own dress / bridal gown but not. Shoppers are able to either buy what dresses they carry, or to choose from a list of options covering all aspects of dress design until they come up with their ideal dress.

Learn Stuff

• Babelfish : The nifty language translation tool, courtesy of Altavista. Just plug and play.
• World's Smallest Political Quiz : In a few short questions, learn what political party matches your interests. Libertarian for me. But I'm not a libertarian. According to my voting card. 
• University of Life : Got time to waste? Take all kinds of tests, serious and goofy, to learn about yourself. 
• Learn to type : Still using that hunt-and-peck method of typing? This site offers a free speed test and lessons. All you have to do is sign in. 
• About.com : Just plug what you want to learn about in there and someone has usually written a tutorial for it... great craft tips with links! I learned how to hand-bead in one night, but there are 700 other topics to choose from, with expert commentary.
• Audio Bible : The entire Bible online, audio! 
• Decimal Birthday : Ever wondered when your 10,000th day anniversary is? This site can tell you. Mine is September 8, 2003. Freaky.

• Relaxing TV : You've heard of the fish television channel that's so "relaxing."On this site, you can choose from aquariums and fireplaces to oceans and waterfalls. Well worth checking out. 
• Cows With Guns : You must listen to the song!! Good thing this doesn't play on the radio, because you'd have to pull over to laugh.
• Official Dilbert Site : Now has grown to include all kinds of slacker things to do, a Lazy Entrepreneur corner, and Catbert's Anti-Career Center.
• IShouldBeWorking.com : I think that about covers it.
• Who Would Buy That?! : Hysterical descriptions of actual auctions on the web. Examples : Box of Dryer Lint. Hello Kitty Wine. Cobra Attack Helicopter. ... enjoy

• Sephora : Maybe nothing new to city gals, but I ran into this store in Orlando and might never have come out if it weren't for the mall closing. All the brands you read about in magazines and lots of classic, but terribly cutting-edge, accessories. 
• The Body Shop : My favorite shop. Just try to get me out of there in under an hour. Ha!
• Garden Botanika : Good products, great deals. Usually some 6 for $25 deal going on.
• Bobbi Brown : Started the natural look makeup revolution, has extremely high-quality makeup and colors, but is a bit pricy. Skip the lip gloss and foundation, but everything else is worth the money.

Cook Stuff

• Recipe Gold Mine: Make just about anything to use in your house from scratch. 
• AllRecipes.com : Wow! I've really enjoyed this site. All topics, comments, ratings, tips, convertible measurements, printable recipe cards, email-able recipes, the works... Check out the Cakes page.
• FoodTV : Searchable by recipe, ingredient, or show. The Naked Chef recipes are the most usable IRL.
• Recipe Finder : Has a nifty check off sheet entry for "what you have in the pantry." Then they tell you what you can cook with it!
• Good Cooking : Good techniques and guides section, with conversion charts, herb guides, and more.

• World Wildlife Fund: #1 choice for images and printing, and it's for a good cause
