Celebratory Linkage
Done with yet another year's worth of transcribing ophthalmic debates! whoo! Picked up a coffee frappuchino on the way in and now I'm flying high. That's about the only thing I've accomplished, though, in between viewing homes and condominiums and dodging the 90-degree, 100% humidity Florida summer. Ugh! This is why we need a pool at work.
Perusing a Girls Who Love Geeks list, I found some great nerdy links, courtesy of a user who had the good sense to use Bucky as an avatar:
Who's Your Father? Challenge Lord Vader, courtesy of Burger King, to a game of 20 Questions. My object was a banana, and I got a huge kick out of it asking me if it was a small mammal after I'd already said it was a fruit. BUT, it's outguessed almost everyone I sent the link to, including busting Adam on "cormorant."
American Dialogue Test: Where is your vocabulary from? I apparently speak 45% general American English, 40% Dixie, y'all, and aboat 15% Yankee. I blame Amy and Doug, my Michiganders previously and now, for corrupting me. Mostly Amy, for getting me to say 'couch' instead of 'sofa'. It was all downhill from there. However, Doug informs me that I cannot blame him because he tested 0% Yankee and 20% Upper Midwestern. I think it has to do with my using 'cruller' and pajahmas. Nevertheless, I'm still blaming him, just because.
Interaction with Others survey: I took Developmental Psych, and I should know whose theories this is based on, but I sure don't. Anyway, it has to do with ego stage.
Quick and Dirty IQ Test: Why take the Mensa test for 3 hours when you can be done in 16 questions? And retake it and cheat?!
